Greetings, Double Eagle Customer!

Spring is just around the corner, and we would like to suggest that you get a head start on a beautiful summer landscape. During the cold winter months, it is easy to think your exterior landscape needs little or no attention. However, the winter months are a critical time to protect your landscape and set it up for a successful spring. There are many very important services that need to be performed this time of year in order for your landscape to look great and be healthy come spring and summer.

-This winter has been extremely hard on our turf with all the sub-freezing temperatures with no snow cover. We would like to be proactive and jump-start your lawn with a turf renovation. This includes aerification, top-dressing with sand, and over-seeding to ensure healthy, vigorous new growth in the spring.

-Tired bed areas can be revitalized with a new mulch cover. We suggest compost and fine or medium bark to control new weed growth and give your yard a great fresh look.

-Are your plants looking weary, leggy, or over-growing their space? Upgrade your plants or redesign your landscape for a fresh new look. It's a good idea to reevaluate your plantings every few years to maintain optimum appearance and growth patterns.

-New water-efficient nozzles for your spray heads can cut down on excess watering and promote a maximum benefit to your plants and your budget. Ask us about the new technology available to renovate your irrigation system.

Please contact us for an estimate on your next project. We're ready to help you get your yard in shape after the winter blahs.

Testimonials

Belinda Zeitouni

In my capacity as the chair of the Northstar Home Owners Association Landscaping Subcommittee, I have worked with Mike Fenner and Double Eagle Landscape since the fall of 2004. Early on, Mike did at least 2 walk arounds with me over the entire Northstar neighborhood. At the time, the builder's representative was the acting president of the HOA, as the builder owned the majority of lots. In addition to ensuring that the landscaping looked good, the walk around was an educational tour for me to get familiar with the landscaping needs of our development. Mike took the time out of his busy schedule to walk with me and the builder's rep. to educuate me on the actual area that the Northstar development encompassed. In addition, Mike took the time to relay the expectations that Double Eagle had for their level of service.

Currently, I no longer need a formal walk around with Mike to discuss our landscaping needs. Instead, I exclusively use email to work with Mike as any problems arise with either the landscaping or sprinkler system. He is very responsive in acknowledging my emails as well as taking care of any of our concerns. When I am not exactly sure how to proceed with a landscaping problem, Mike will come out to look things over and make recommendations. We now have an established landscape so periodically we need a comprehensive barking, weeding, plant replacement and trimming job. At those times, if our budget cannot handle the entire project he is willing to work with us and do the project in phases.

We have also had last-minute landscaping projects driven by city requirements. In 2009, the city of Redmond required all the the homeowners in our development to trim the street trees to a clearance of 10 feet so that the street sweeper could pass. Homeowners were given a 2-week deadline. The notification occurred in August, which is the middle of the busy season for Mike. However, he got his crews right on the job and completed trimming the 140 trees in just a few days. We had no further complaints from the city and none of the homeowners had to worry about getting out on a ladder with a makeshift saw to meet the city's requirements.

As far as our weekly landscape work of mowing, the crews are out at the same time every week and do an excellent job of completing the work. In addition, I don't have to worry about reminding Mike to turn on the sprinklers or fertilize the grass. He ensures that annual maintenance of the landscape and sprinkler system is completed right on time.

I would highly recommend hiring Double Eagle Landscape for your landscape services.

Sincerely,

Belinda M Zeitouni, Chair
Northstar HOA Landscaping Subcommittee
